NOTICE OF BID REJECTION
MERCED REGIONAL FIRE TRAINING FACILITY PROJECT

Re: Merced Regional Fire Training Facility Project {Project No. CP220077) Dear All,
Thank you for submitting a bid in response to our solicitation for the Merced Regional Fire Training Facility project. We appreciate the time and effort your firm has spent preparing your proposal.
Pursuant to local procurement rules, this letter serves as formal notice that the City will reject all proposals received and cancel this solicitation at the City Council meeting on August 3rd, 2026.
This decision was made because of two changing project requirements:
• Budget Constraints: All bids received significantly exceeded our internal estimates and available project funding.
• Federal Grant Compliance: The municipality is actively pursuing federal grant funding to help support this project, which requires changes to the scope and specifications of the project.
We are currently adjusting the project's specifications to meet both our budgetary constraints and federal grant criteria. We look forward to your bid proposal in the future.
