4 The proposed Vacation is located on a roughly .23-acre lot. The area to be vacated is 20-feet-wide. The subject site is located within a Low to Medium Density Residential (LMD) Designation and west of General Commercial (CG) Designation. The easement was originally going to be a continuance of K Street. The street was never constructed and has then been vacated, and there are no plans to construct it in the future.

5 On April 8, 2026, the City of Merced Planning
Commission reviewed this Vacation request, and found that it does not conflict with the City’s General Plan policies, text, maps, and is therefore consistent with the General Plan. On August 17, 2026, City Council adopted Resolution
No. 2026-57 a resolution of intention and set October 5, 2026, as the date for the public to consider Vacation #25-0001.
