The City Council of the City of Militas convened in a Special Meeting of the Militas City Council on January 26, 2023, in the Douglas Room of the Sonesta Event Center, 1800 Barber Lane, Milpitas, CA.
CALL MEETING TO ORDER by Mayor and ROLL CALL by City Clerk Mayor Montano called the Special City Council meeting to order at 8:08 AM.
PRESENT: Mayor Montano, Vice Mayor Chua, Councilmembers Barbadillo (8:18 AM), Lien, and Phan.
ABSENT: None.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Montano led the Pledge of Allegiance.
ADJOURN TO CLOSED SESSION
City Attorney Mutalipassi announced the closed session items.
There were no public speakers.
The City Council adjourned to Closed Session at 9:09 AM. (a) PUBLIC EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT/HIRING
Pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957
Position to be filled: City Manager
The City Council reconvened in open session at 4:23 PM.
CLOSED SESSION ANNOUNCEMENT
Mayor Montano announced that the Special Meeting scheduled for September 15, 2023 was cancelled and that there was nothing to report.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Montano adjourned the meeting at 4:25 PM.
