The City Council of the City of Milpitas convened in a Special Meeting of the Milpitas City Council on January 9, 2025, in the Milpitas Community Center, Room 7/8 at 457 East Calaveras Blvd, Milpitas, CA.
WELCOME AND CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Montano called the Special City Council meeting to order at 11:00 AM.
PRESENT: Mayor Montano, Councilmembers Chua, Councilmember Lam, and Councilmember Lien ABSENT: Vice Mayor Barbadillo
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Montano led the Pledge of Allegiance.
PUBLIC FORUM
There were no public speakers.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Assistant City Attorney Christopher Creech read the announcement of conflict of interest.
READING OF THE CITY COUNCIL CODE OF CONDUCT
Mayor Montano read the Code of Conduct.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
All members present approved the agenda.
CITY COUNCIL PRIORITY WORKSHOP
Councilmembers met together with the staff and consultant to (1) Ceate opportunities to learn about individual council members; (2) Review and affirm the City's Strategic Goals; and (3) Discuss priority strategic goals and desired outcomes for 2025.
The Mayor and City Council took a break from 12:15 to 1pm.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Montano adjourned the meeting at 2:15pm.
