The City Council convened in a Special Meeting of the Milpitas City Council on June 26, 2025, in the City Council Chamber, 455 E. Calaveras Blvd, Milpitas, CA, and via teleconference/Zoom webinar.
CALL MEETING TO ORDER by Mayor and ROLL CALL by City Clerk Mayor Montano called the Regular City Council meeting to order at 5:35 PM. Roll Call was taken by Deputy City Clerk Chen.
PRESENT: Mayor Montano, Vice Mayor Barbadillo, Councilmember Lam ABSENT: Councilmember Chua, Councilmember Lien
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Montano led the Pledge of Allegiance.
PUBLIC FORUM
There were no public speakers.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST AND CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS Acting City Attorney Christopher Creech asked the Mayor and Council Members to disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest related to items on the agenda. No conflicts were reported
READING OF THE CITY COUNCIL CODE OF CONDUCT
Mayor Montano read the Milpitas City Council Code of Conduct.
AGENDA ITEMS
1. Presentation of State of the City Address
Interim City Manager Santana welcomed attendees to the 2025 State of the City event and introduced Mayor Montano. The Mayor welcomed attendees, acknowledged the dignitaries present, and delivered the State of the City Address.
ADJOURNMENT
Interim City Manager Deanna Santana adjourned the meeting at 5:59 PM and announced that refreshments and light snacks were available downstairs.
