Measure H Funded Projects
Parks Planning and Development staff established a multi-year plan to systematically address deferred and preventative maintenance in the park system. In June 2023, Council approved the FY 2023-2024 budget, which included $8,270,000 of Measure H funding for deferred and preventative park maintenance projects. In June 2024, Council approved the FY 2024-2025 budget, which included $5,052,000 of Measure H funding for deferred and preventative park maintenance projects. In June 2025, Council approved the FY 2025-2026 budget, which included $1,000,000 of Measure H funding for deferred and preventative park maintenance projects.
The projects listed in this category are the larger projects that will require formal bidding and therefore subsequent Council action. Some of the smaller projects funded over the past couple years are either complete or will be completed under budget (such as basketball court & tennis court resurfacings and restroom shade canopy removals).
As these Measure H projects complete bidding, staff will identify additional funding sources, as necessary, and bring a funding recommendation when these projects are reviewed by the City Council for award.
Measure H 2024 - Playground Replacements at Coleman Brown Park (101517) This project involves the replacement of the playground at Coleman Brown Park. This was part of the eight playgrounds that were funded by Measure H in the 2024 budget, six of which are completed. This project is expected to be out to bid by the end of fall 2025 and is expected to use the remaining budget in the Measure H Playground Replacements account for 2024.
Due to higher than anticipated costs and additional site work necessary at Davis Park playground a future Measure H request for that park will be submitted during next year’s budget process.
