History
Recognizing the need for a more centrally located and locally governed animal services agency, the cities of Chino and Ontario came together in August 2024 to form the Animal Resource Center of the Inland Empire (ARC), established as a Joint Powers Authority (JPA). Shortly after, the cities of Montclair and Chino Hills (coverage in 2027), along with western parts of San Bernardino County, became partners.
ARC is a full-service animal services agency, providing responsive, communityfocused solutions to meet the evolving needs of the region.
About ARC
Animal Resource Center of the Inland
Empire (ARC), is the new animal
services agency for Ontario, Chino,
Montclair, and select unincorporated
areas of West San Bernardino County.
Service for all member agencies began
July 1, 2025. Service for Chino Hills will
begin in 2027.
