NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Meeting for the City of Mont ebello City Council is hereby called to be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at the Montebello Senior Center , located at 115 S. Taylor Avenue, Montebello, CA 90640 and other electronic platforms.
COVID-19 NOTICE: Pursuant to Assembly Bill 361 and the ongoing State of Emergency in regard to COVID -19, Council Members may attend City Council meetings via teleconferencing and make public meetings accessible telephonically or electronically to all members of the public seeking to observe and address the City Council. The City Council and Staff will meet in person at the Montebello Senior Center and all real time public participation, pursuant to Assembly Bill 361, will take place in person and will also occur in writing for this meeting . The Montebello Senior Center will be available during the public comment period or public testimony period during the Special City Council meeting. Consistent with the Executive Order, the City Council meeting will continue to be live streamed and can be watched on the City’s website at: https://www.cityofmontebello.com/government/live-streaming.html, and may also be viewed on Spectrum Public Access Channel 3 for all Spectrum cable subscribers.
STATEMENT OF PUBLIC COMMENTS AND PARTICIPATION: Members of the public interested in addressing the City Council during this Special Meeting may only address the items which have been described in the notice of this Special meeting in accordance with Government Code Section 54954.3(a). State Law prohibits the City Council from taking action or entertaining extended discussion on a topic not listed on the agenda.
Pursuant to AB 361, those interested in commenting on this matter may appear in person or by submitting written comments in the manner set forth below, per the Public Hearing Notice posted on March 21, 2022 and published on the Montebello News on March 24, 2022:
All interested persons have the right to appear and be heard pursuant to Assembly Bill 361. For those interested making public comments, you may address the City Council in person during the publi c comment period or public testimony period for public hearings by attending the Montebello Senior Center located at 115 S. Taylor Avenue, Montebello, California on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 9:00 a.m . In addition, the City has created an email address [email protected] where the public was can submit written public comments no later than Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 5 :00 p.m. These comments may not be read aloud but will be entered into the record and submitted to all members of the City Council. The email address for City Council meetings can be located on the City’s webpage under the City Clerk tab, https://www.cityofmontebello.com/department/administration/city-clerk-s- office.html.

RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:
1) Receive input from the public regarding the six (6) draft City Council district maps (Attachment A) selected for further discussion and consideration; and 2) Take such additional, related, action that may be desirable.
ADJOURNMENT
The City of Montebello will adjourn to the next Regular Meeting on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.
