NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Meeting for the City of Montebello City Council is hereby called to be held on Satur day, April 23, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at the Montebello Senior Center, located at 115 S. Taylor Avenue, Montebello, CA 90640 and telephonically.
COVID-19 NOTICE: The City Council rescinded the Declaration of the Local Emergency and the continuation of teleconferencing open meetings pursuant to AB 361 by adopting Resolution No. 22 -21 on Wednesday, April 13, 2022.
This City Council Meeting will be he ld in person only but will be recorded and posted on the City’s website as soon as time permits.
STATEMENT OF PUBLIC COMMENTS AND PARTICIPATION: Members of the public interested in addressing the City Council during this Special Meeting may only address the items which have been described in the notice of this Special meeting in accordance with Government Code Section 54954.3(a). State Law prohibits the City Council from taking action or entertaining extended discussion on a topic not listed on the agenda.
Those interested in commenting on this matter may appear in person or by submitting written comment s in the manner set forth below:
All interested persons have the right to appear and be heard. For those interested in making public comments, you may address the City Council in person during the public comment period or public testimony period for public hearings by attending the Montebello Senior Center located at 115 S. Taylor Avenue, Montebello, California on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 9:00 a.m . In addition, the City has created an email address [email protected] where the public can submit written public comments no later than Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. These comments may not be read aloud but will be entered into the record and submitted to all members of the City Council. The email address for City Council meetings can be located on the City’s webpage under the City Clerk tab, https://www.cityofmontebello.com/department/admi nistration/city-clerk-s- office.html.

1. CALIFORNIA VOTING RIGHTS ACT (“CVRA”) PUBLIC HEARING NO. 6
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:
1) Receive input from the public regarding the four (4 ) draft City Council district maps (Attachment A) selected for further discussion and consideration; and 2) Take such additional, related, action that may be desirable.
ADJOURNMENT
The City of Montebello will adjourn to the next Regular Meeting on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.
