3-C. PURCHASE AND DATA CONVERSION OF POLICE DEPARTMENT
CAD/RMS/JMS/TMIS SOFTWARE
The City of Monterey Park Police Department's current computer software for 9- 11 dispatch and records database management has been used for 18 years and lacks modern features with poor support from the current service provider, Tyler Technologies. By migrating the department's databases to Sunridge RIMS and utilizing Sunridge Rims' advanced software systems, the Police Department will gain efficiency and capabilities that will better meet the demands of the department and the community while saving the city an anticipated cost of $851,667.69 over ten years.
Action Taken: The City waived bidding requirements pursuant to Monterey Park Municipal Code § 3.20.050(5) and authorized the Police Department to enter into a contract with Sunridge RIMS Systems, Inc. for the purchase of a CAD/RMS/JMS/TMIS software by utilizing a cooperative purchasing exemption (Yuba County); and authorized City staff to execute a contract, on a form approved by the City Attorney, with Sunridge RIMS to implement a new CAD/RMS/JMS/TMIS computer software system, servers, data migration, training, and implementation to replace the current database, on Consent Calendar.
