The City Council of the City of Monterey Park held a Special Community Meeting of the Council, the State of the City Address, Mayor Thomas Wong, at City of Monterey Park City Hall Council Chambers, 320 W. Newmark Ave, Monterey Park, California 91754 on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 5:30 p.m.

MEETUP WITH THE MAYOR
I. Welcome: Meeting was called to order at 5:41 p.m.
II. Most Business Friendly City Award presented by Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC)
Linden Johnson, LAEDC Senior Director of Business Assistance and Leonard Barrales, LAEDC Senior District Manger presented the City with an award for the Most Business Friendly City Award.
III. The public is invited to the City of Monterey Park State of the City Address with Mayor Thomas Wong. Topics will include Monterey Park’s major accomplishments, progress updates of capital projects and future goals of the City.

November 19, 2024
Mayor Wong presented a PowerPoint presentation on the City Council 2024 Strategic Plan and presented an overview of city departments’ accomplishments. He highlighted the new businesses and development projects in the city and concluded with looking ahead to the 2025 vision.
