CALL TO ORDER
The Special Lamorinda Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Renata Sos.
2. ROLL CALL
Lafayette Town Council present: Mayor Carl Anduri, Vice Mayor Gina Dawson, and Councilmembers: Susan Candell, Teresa Gerringer, and Wei- Tai Kwok
Absent: None
Moraga Town Council present: Mayor Renata Sos and Vice Mayor Teresa Onoda, Councilmembers: Kerry Hillis, David Shapiro, and Steve
Woehleke
Absent: None
Orinda Town Council present: Mayor Inga Miller, Vice Mayor Darlene Gee, and Councilmembers: Latika Malkani and Brandyn Iverson
Absent: Councilmember Janet Riley
3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Members of Boy Scouts Troop 219 led the Pledge of Allegiance.
4. ADOPTION OF MEETING AGENDA
Motion and second, Vice Mayor Onoda and Councilmember Woehleke, to adopt Meeting Agenda, passed unanimously.
5. PUBLIC COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS
The following members of the public spoke:
Marti Roach, 350 Contra Costa
Lamorinda Joint Councils Special Meeting 1 March 15, 2023 - Laura Wehrley, Outreach Director for Sustainable Contra Costa Mayor Sos accepted the Sustainability Challenge from Lafayette to Moraga and Orinda. Mayor Anduri thanked Ms. Wehrley for organizing the competition.
6. NEW BUSINESS
A. Lamorinda Smart Signals Project Update
Mayor Sos introduced the item. Moraga Chief of Police Jon King discussed the importance of the Smart Signals project for the Lamorinda area.
Moraga Public Works Director Shawn Knapp provided a presentation and responded to questions from the Councilmembers.
There are no comments from the public.
Council discussion followed.
Director of Planning John Hoang of Contra Costa Transportation Authority provided more information about the Countywide Smart Signals Program.
Congressman Mark DeSaulnier gave remarks and presented a check for $4, 185,000.00.
7. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 8:04 p.m.
