CALL TO ORDER
The special meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Mayor Teresa Onoda.
ROLL CALL
Councilmembers present: Mayor Teresa Onoda, Vice Mayor Steve Woehleke and Councilmember Kerry Hillis
Councilmembers absent: Councilmembers David Shapiro and Renata Sos
2. PUBLIC COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS
There were no comments from the public.
3. SPECIAL MEETING - OPEN SESSION
A. Consider and Appoint applicants for the following Committees/Commissions:
1. Advisory Council on Aging (1 delegate)
2. Art in Public Spaces (2 Moraga Community Members)
3. Mosquito & Vector Control (1 delegate from Moraga)
4. Park & Recreation Commission (3 Moraga Community Members)
5. Planning Commission (3 Moraga Community Members)
Prior to the interviews, Town Council addressed the under-filled vacancies as well as the option to re-open Committee/Commission interviews to allow for alternate applicants should Council not select from the existing pool of interviewees. As a result of that discussion, Town Council decided that, if necessary, interviews would be continued to a future date to be determined.
Town Council held interviews and appointed the following individuals via motion.

Appoint applicants for the terms of office respective to their Committee/Commission:
Advisory Council on Aging (1 delegate from Moraga)
Francisco Benavides (term ending September 30, 2026)
Art in Public Spaces (2 Moraga Community Members)
Holly Hartz (term ending March 1, 2027)
Grant Rusk (term ending March 1, 2027)

James Frankenfeld (term ending February 21, 2028)
Park & Recreation Commission (3 Moraga Community Members) Ashley Hemkin (term ending March 1, 2026)

Ben Helber (term ending March 1, 2026)
Nick Polsky (term ending March 1, 2026)
Vote: (3 in favor / 2 absent)
ACTION:
Motion: Hillis / Woehleke
Re-open application period and conduct further interviews for the under-filled Committee/Commissions on a date to be determined.

4. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Onoda adjourned the meeting at 8:04 p.m.
