Why do you wish to serve on this Board and/or Commission? I am currently serving as Co-Chair on the Traffic Safety Commission and would like to continue.
I have learned a lot about our city as it pertains to the concerns that residents have, and other traffic safety related matters.
List any education, training, or special skills, you have which may be relevant or of particular benefit to this Board and/or Commission:
Since serving on the Traffic Safety Commission, I have learned about city approved parking areas for business trucks and what areas prohibit them, the importance of traffic safety near school, and advising City Council on issues such as the need for more crosswalks for the disabled.
Explain briefly your understanding of what this Board and/or Commission does, including its powers and limitations.
I understand that we are an advisory board to the City Council as it pertains to traffic safety matters.
What do you hope to accomplish by your participation?
I hope to bring a fresh perspective to the Traffic Safety Commission. I also hope to learn and gain exparience on how to make our city safer when it comes to traffic related issue.
Lastly, I hope to connect with other passionate individuals and be a part of important city-related conversations.

I am the Executive Director for my nonprofit organization Her Sisters Keeper Foundation for Women Inc.
I have volunteered with Benjamin E. Jones Community Resource Center, giving out food to senior citizens and the homeless(monthly 2023-Pastor Jones); I have volunteered with LIFE Church of God In Christ giving out food to church members in need(quarterly 2022-23- Sis. Bennett); I am currently a member of Academy for Grassroots Organizations(2023-Debbie Cannon) What other areas of interest do you have in our City government? 1 am interested in learning about many aspects of our City government; City Council, Voter Education, Public Safety Would you be available for meetings during the day or evening? Attendance of at least one (1) meeting is required prior to appointment.
