• Kahono Oei with the City of Jurupa Valiey.
I checked the subgrade and found that it was firm and unyielding before placing concrete. • Sub-Contractor placed 28 yards of 560-C-3250 concrete, Mix Design #1418559, from Cemex. It should be noted that curing compound with red fugitive dye was applied to the concrete. • Sub-Contractor installed the truncated dome at Archer Street crooked and not aligned with the curb.
They did not install score lines at the ramp. I informed that this will not be accepted and will need to be removed and replaced.
• Sub-Contractor was constructing the commercial driveway and they were not following standard 207A. They were matching the existing grades and not constructing the 5' wide sidewalk at the back of driveway. Sub-Contractor then made adjustments and corrected the problem. • It should be noted that I informed the Contractor and Sub that the working hours are from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Any overtime work needs to be approved by the Engineer. The Sub-Contractor is again working late. I informed that they need to adjust their schedule to be done and cleaned up by 3:30pm. Sub-Contractor apologized and said he will not work late.
