RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MORENO VALLEY, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING THE CITY
COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE S AND ALTERNATE TO
MARCH JOINT POWERS COMMISSION
WHEREAS, following the General Municipal Election on November 5, 2024, the City Council met on January 7, 2025 to select representatives to Council Advisory Commissions/Boards, Subcommittees and Regional Inter-Agency Bodies; and WHEREAS, the 14 th Amended Joint Powers Agreement between the Cities of Moreno Valley, Perris and Riverside and the County of Riverside for the formation of a joint powers authority to formulate and implement plans for the use and reuse of March Air Force Base was approved on April 18 2023; and
WHEREAS, Section 5 (c) of said above Agreement pr ovides: “Designation of Representatives and Alternates. The governing body of each Member on the JPC shall appoint by resolution its Representatives (Two Primary/Regular Member s) and may appoint by resolution an Alternate to the JPC;” and
WHEREAS, the Cou ncil representatives to the March JP C were selected on January 16, 2024 and currently are: Mayor Cabrera and Councilmember Delgado, Primary/Regular Members, and Mayor Pro Tem Barnard, Alternate Member.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOREN O VALLEY, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That ________________ (Mayor/Councilmember) is selected as Primary/Regular Member #1; that _________________ (Mayor/Councilmember) is selected as Primary/Regular Member #2; and that ______________ (Mayor/Councilmember) is selected as Alternate to the March Joint Powers APPROVED AND ADOPTED this _____ day of January, 2025.
