May 21, 2025 George Hague May 21, 2025 Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Why is the Planning Commission directed to approve a
Fire Map that is more than three years old on
Thursday May 22nd -- one day from now. According to
their staff report they are suppose to approve the map
in the following document:

morenovalley.escribemeetings.com/filestream.ashx?D
ocumentId=4349
Agenda item I.! Local Hazard Mitigation Plan scroll
through first five pages
(Revised 2022-23)
This new state map must be on their agenda and the
responses from the public should be shared with
them. Perhaps they should continue the item related
to the Fire Map until the Planning Commissioners and
the public have the correct information on which to
have a vote.

I am in favor of more accurate fire maps from the state and hope the Planning Commission doesn't adopt the
old ones before them this Thursday.

I also hope the city will assist/help any homeowner or
business owner whose insurance rate significantly
increases as a result of these new maps.

May 21, 2025 Sherill Franklin May 21, 2025 Yes No No Yes Yes Please review the rating of the Fire Hazard/Risk for our neighborhood.

My home is in NE Moreno Valley on Black Oak off of
Quincy. I think the fire risk/danger should be reduced because: 1) the land between our street and the
wildlands/Badlands is regularly disked and has little to no fuel. 2) the wildlands in the Badlands hills are
almost a mile north of our property. 3) these hills
support mostly low-fuel herbaceous and "soft"
chaparral. 4) these wildland hills are heavily grazed
and traveled by the wild burros. 5) many fuel breaks
already exist in the hills courtesy of utility companies, burros, and ATVs. 6) homes in the area have large lots, many with large bare pastures/corrals. 8) the area has accessible roads for firefighting equipment."

May 21, 2025 Marcia Narog May 21, 2025 Yes Yes No Yes Yes Please review the rating of the Fire Hazard/Risk for our neighborhood.

My home is in NE Moreno Valley on Black Oak off of
Quincy. I think the fire risk/danger should be reduced because: 1) the land between our street and the
wildlands/Badlands is regularly disked and has little to no fuels. 2) the wildlands in the depauperate soils of
the Badlands hills are almost a mile north of our
property. 3) these hills support mostly low fuel
herbaceous and "soft" chaparral. 4) these wildland
hills are heavily grazed and traveled by the expanding
wild burro population. 5) many fuel breaks exist in the hills made for utilities and by burros and ATVs. 6) low fuel loading of light fuels is not conducive to fire
brands. 7) homes in the area have large lots, many
with large bare pastures/corrals. 8) the area has
accessible roads for firefighting equipment.

Thank you for your consideration of my request.

May 19, 2025 Karen Gloudeman May 19, 2025 Yes Yes No No No Please send map for review May 18, 2025 Joseph Lockhart May 18, 2025 Yes Yes No Yes No It sure looks like this map is not incorporating areas
that have not been affected over the last 35 years that we have lived in the same house. The areas at
Ironwood and Nason with 1/2 + acre properties are
being targeted. This new map also adds controversy to
the open fields North of Ironwood, where over the
years several projects have between rejected ( and this is before this map). This map is flawed and should not
be accepted. It affects my neighbors and well as our
property. This will affect the market value of these
homes and cost us money from exorbitant insurance
companies. I have seen way too many bad decisions by
the councils over the years, and to accept this
remapping goes against what the tax payers and
voters in this city expect from this council and it should be rejected in certain locations that have been altered.

The East and North fields directly next to my property
at Ironwood and Nason are simply feed or rotating
crops to feed sheep. The land owners have cut fire
breaks every year and the only time we ever had a fire
issue was due to arson. Stop this in its tracks until it had been discussed with those affected in this
particular area. Respectfully, Joseph C. Lockhart

Apr 24, 2025 Bryan Bergeron Apr 24, 2025 No No Yes Yes Yes In reviewing the proposed fire maps, I have
noticed that my property is now located in a
very high/high fire zone, and I would like to
contest that proposed designation. My
property is surrounded by new residential
developments on all sides, creating a buffer
zone from any fire risk. Based on this new
designation is virtually creating undue
hardship and making this project unfeasible to
construct due to the high fire designation and
lack of available insurance for townhomes,
killing the development needs of Moreno
Valley. APNs 256-200-002, 256-200-003, 256-
