Why do you want to serve on the City’s Emerging Leaders Council? _
Describe any experience you have had that has prepared you to serve on the Council. _
What issues would you address or activities would you plan if you were a Council Member? _

I would like to serve on the City's Emerging Leaders Council because I would like to engage and be more involved in my community. I would like to help city leaders gain a better understanding of the issues that affect the youth in the city. Serving on the Council will help me gain a better understanding of how city legislation works. I also hope to meet some of the great leaders of this city and, possibly, receive some mentoring from them.
One issue I would like to address is youth employment and career training. I would also like to address the city's homeless population issue. I hope to contribute some ideas that may offer resolutions to these issues.
I have a lot of leadership and teamwork experience. In middle school, I was the Sergeant at Arms.
In high school, I was on the Student Advisory Council for the Health Academy. Also, I participated in an entrepreneurship program, where I was selected to be the spokesperson for the program. I had to present the business idea to a group of investors, who then funded the idea.
