Alexandra Garcia
Visual artist from Moreno
Valley with experience
working on city
commissioned art projects.

The colorful murals I create
draw the eye in, and provide
the community with a moment
of peaceful admiration.

My work points back to its
surroundings, highlighting the
environment of the local
community.

My aim is that in admiring the
mural, the viewer will feel
more in the moment, and then
take that experience with
them to continue admiring and
contemplating their
surroundings.

PROPOSED ARTWORK:

Two possible color palette combinations
Inspired by the area of Moreno
Valley I grew up in. My family and I
have many memories walking along
and within the hidden springs trails
and surrounding areas. I know from
experience that moments in these
landscapes; the trails,
neighborhoods and box springs
views and hikes are monumental to
the community. My design is an
homage to those special moments
spent together in nature.

Budget:
original artwork to transform utility boxes into vibrant public art pieces; $500 per utility box artwork.

THANK YOU!
