The Solar Generator Rebate Program is
proposed to provide financial assistance to
customers enrolled in the Medical Baseline
Program. This initiative aims to help medically
dependent customers maintain reliable access
to electricity during power interruptions
through the purchase of clean, portable solar-
powered generators.

Many Medical Baseline customers depend on
electrically powered medical devices for health
and mobility. During outages or emergency
situations, these customers face increased risk if
power is lost. The Solar Generator Rebate
Program is designed to enhance safety,
independence, and preparedness by making
renewable backup power solutions more
affordable.

This program supports the City’s goals of
improving energy resilience, promoting
sustainability, and protecting the well-being of
vulnerable residents.
