RESOLUTION NO. 2026-____
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MORENO VALLEY, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING AND
APPROVING THE FINAL TRANSPORTATION DEMAND
MANAGEMENT (TDM) PLAN PREPARED UNDER THE
CALTRANS SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORTATION
PLANNING GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Moreno Valley (City) received grant funding through the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant Program to prepare a Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Plan; and WHEREAS, on Fe bruary 20, 2024, the City Council accepted the Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant funding and authorized the Public Works Director/City Engineer to execute a Restricted Grant Agreement with Caltrans for development of a Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Plan; and
WHEREAS, acceptance and approval of the Final TDM Plan will establish it as an official City planning document and guide future transportation demand strategies, as well as support the City’s pursuit of future grant funding opportunities; and WHEREAS, staff has presented the Final TDM Plan to the City Council for acceptance and approval at a duly noticed meeting held on February 17, 2026.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MORENO
VALLEY, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. RECITALS
The foregoing recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein by this reference.
Section 2. ACCEPTANCE AND APPROVAL
The City Council hereby accepts and approves the Final Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Plan pre pared under the Caltrans Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant Program as an official planning document of the City.
