Box Springs Mtn Reserve
By Jacqueline Truong
Moreno Valley Utility Box Art Program
I discovered my love for art at 15, when I
placed in my first juried exhibition. That early About the Artist experience shaped the path I followed into
college, where I earned an art degree in Jacqueline Truong Photography, Sculpture, and Mixed Media
with a minor in Art History.

Teaching grew from that same passion-l
found my purpose in sharing the arts with
students and seeing their confidence and
creativity develop. My work has always been
a way to document my story, and I enjoy
collaborating to bring ideas to life. Over time,
social justice became central to what I make
and what teach.

My work has been shown nationally and
internationally in galleries and museums, and
I've been featured through local newspapers,
magazines, and news stations. In 2022, l
began working on community art projects
and haven't looked back.

Box Springs Mountain Reserve
I love creating landscapes that
feel layered and full of life. In this
painting, I recreated the valley as
seen from a high point in the Box
Springs Mountain Reserve, with
the surrounding hills and
mountains stretching across the
foreground and background. The
valley opens clearly in the center,
and I aimed to capture what this
place may have looked like long
ago.
