RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MORENO VALLEY, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE FULL
VACATION OF A PORTION OF ALESSANDRO BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, the City Council on the 5 th of May, 2026, adopted Resolution of Intention No. 2026-21 declaring its intent to , among other things, order the vacation of a portion of Alessandro Boulevard, west of Moreno Beach Driv e, and set June 16, 2026 at 6:00 P.M., as the time for all persons interested in the proposed vacation; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Moreno Valley, California, acquired a perpetual easement and right -of-way for public purposes, located in Alessandro Boulevard, west of Moreno Beach Drive as shown on the Bear Valley and Alessandro Development Co. Map No. 1, recorded in Book 11, Page 10 of Maps in the Office of the County Recorder of Riverside County;
WHEREAS, City has determined that a southerly portion of Alessandro Boulevard west of Moreno Beach, located approximately between 310’ and 646’ west of the centerline of Moreno Beach Drive, is right-of-way excess;
WHEREAS, the public hearing was duly noticed and held as required by law; WHEREAS, the public right-of-way to be vacated was duly posted as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the proposed vacation is consistent with the City of Moreno Valley Municipal Code and General Plan and complies with the requirements for street vacations as cited in the California Streets and Highways Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MORENO VALLEY, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1
That pursuant to the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 3 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, designated the “Public Streets, Highways, and Service Easements Vacation Law,” the following described portion of right-of-way is fully vacated and abandoned.
That said portion of Alessandro Boulevard, in the City of Moreno Valley, County of Riverside, State of Ca lifornia as described in the legal description and illustrated on the plat, attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked as Exhibits “A” and “B”, respectively. This full vacation is made based upon the facts presented. An easement will be reserved for Crown Castle and Charter Communication s that exists within this segment of Alessandro Boulevard . An access easement will be reserved for Eastern Municipal Water District for access to their property.
Section 2
That pursuant to the provisions of Sections 831 of Title 3 and 1112 of Title 4, Part 2, Division 2 of the California Civil Code of the State of California, title to the above - described portion of land revert to the owners of the underlying fee thereof, free from use as an easement for public road purposes.
Section 3
That the City Clerk of the City of Moreno Valley, California, shall cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be recorded in the office of the Recorder for the County of Riverside, California.
