RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MORENO VALLEY, CALIFORNIA, DIRECTING THE CITY’S
VOTING DELEGATE AND CITY MANAGER TO VOTE IN
FAVOR OF LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES 2026
RESOLUTION NO. 1
WHEREAS, the City of Moreno Valley previously submitted a letter of concurrence supporting League of California Cities (Cal Cities) Resolution No. 1 regarding local authority over housing and land use; and
WHEREAS, the City Council designated Mayor Ulises Cabrera as the City’s voting delegate and Councilmember Edward Delgado as the alternate for the 2026 Cal Cities General Assembly; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to ensure that the City’s vote at the General Assembly is consistent with the City’s previously expressed support for Resolution No. 1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby directs Mayor Ulises Cabrera, as the City’s designated voting delegate, or Councilmember Edward Delgado, if serving as the alternate, and City Manager Brian Mohan to vote in favor of Cal Cities Resolution No. 1 if presented for consideration at the 2026 Cal Cities General Assembly.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that t his Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
