Recommendation(s)
That the City Council and CSD:
1. Approve the Parks & Community Services 2027 Special Event Calendar as presented.
SUMMARY
This report was presented to the Parks & Community Services Sub-Committee on September 1st, and they approved it for recommendation to Council to approve the Parks & Community Services 2027 Special Events Calendar as presented.
DISCUSSION
To ensure Council remains well-informed about citywide events, staff has prepared a ID: 26-0342 Page 2
Parks & Community Services Special Events Calendar and upon approval will commence the planning process for the year 2027.
ALTERNATIVES
1. Approve and authorize the recommended actions as presented in this staff report.
Staff recommends this alternative as it will provide for an effective timeline to plan and execute the 2027 Special Events as proposed.
2. Do not approve and authorize the recommended actions as presented in this staff report. Staff does not recommend this alternative.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no direct impact to the General Fund. The budget for the Parks & Community Services 2027 Special Events is part of the previously approved Parks & Community Services budget under Zone A, Fund 5011.
