3 CITY MANAGER'S REPORT
City Manager Christina Turner shared that it’s time to change your watering schedule, and irrigation should occur just one day a week for landscaping in Morgan Hill. The change is effective on November 1st. The City started planting 50 trees in 50 days, with five new trees at Galvan Park this past Saturday. The remaining trees will be planted in areas near multifamily housing. A grant from the county health department will fund the trees and watering. The event on Saturday was in partnership with the Rotary Club of Morgan Hill, which has adopted Galvan Park. Last Saturday, the City hosted the Day of the Dead Celebration Event at the Magical Bridge Playground. Hundreds of participants came out and enjoyed dancing, arts and crafts, and many other activities put on by our Parks and Recreation Division and Magical Bridge Volunteers. Only two Sidewalk Saturday events are left in the 2024 season. Kick off the Holiday Shopping Season by shopping for unique, custom, and homemade products from over 45 vendors this Saturday, November 9th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on 3rd Street in Downtown Morgan Hill.

From accessories to candles to clothing to home décor, you can find a gift for even the pickiest person on your list.
