City Council Special Meeting - July 10, 2025
1. ESTABLISH QUORUM AND CALL TO ORDER
Public Comments:
Mayor Wixom called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m., with all but Council Member Landrum present. Council Member Landrum joined the meeting at 5:05 p.m. Council Member Landrum and Mayor Pro Tem Edwards both provided proper notice of their remote participation via zoom for this meeting.

Council Member Landrum
Appoint Andrea Lueker as the Interim City Manager, contingent upon successfully passing the City’s background check, and authorize the Mayor to execute the attached employment agreement between the City of Morro Bay and Andrea Lueker for the Interim City Manager position with the following changes:
The effective date shall be July 14th instead of July 15th.
On Page 2 of the Agreement, at the end of section 1.3 entitled Property of City, which section also includes confidentiality provisions, add:
“Employee’s obligations under Section 1.3 shall survive termination of this Agreement.” In Exhibit A to the Agreement, which is the City Manager's Duties and Responsibilities on Page 2, the top bullet point states:
“Appoints and removes all department heads and employees of the City.” add at the end of that sentence, “with Council approval”.
