GreeƟngs,
I am wriƟng to urge approval of the CooperaƟve Agreement for the Morro Bay to Cayucos Connector Trail. My wife and I have stayed in Morro Bay for the last seven years during January - March. During that Ɵme have spent over $100,000 in Morro Bay on lodging, food, dining and gas. We love MB for many reasons, but the #1 reason for our choosing Morro Bay for our winter escape is the trails in and around Morro Bay. We are avid walkers and bicyclists. The current walking route from MB to Cayucos is steep and sketchy in areas and not handicapped accessible. The current bicycle route along the Hwy 1 shoulder is not parƟcularly comfortable due to the speed of vehicle traffic and at Ɵmes feels unsafe.
The Connector Trail solves these issues and will be an aƩribute for both communiƟes. We walk and ride Toro Lane frequently. I understand the NIMBY aƫtude of some residents, but this is a public street and the increased use will be walkers and bicyclists with a minor increase in car traffic. Given the opportunity to support “green" use of exisƟng infrastructure like Toro Lane, to make a long awaited improvement and a vital off road connecƟon, I hope you will support this Agreement.
Sincerely,
Greg Ingraham

Dear City Council Members,
I want to encourage you to conƟnue your support of the Morro Bay Connector Trail. The trail will be a much needed safer opƟon for Morro Bay ciƟzens and visitors to walk and cycle between Morro Bay and Cayucos, especially for children and families. Please do not be swayed by a hand full of homeowners who do not want to honor an easement they agreed to in exchange for building their oceanfront bluff homes.
