2 flooding around housing the mobile home parks, businesses and Main Street bridge. In other words, a bigger problem to solve is being created rather than fixing the lesser one that is necessary. This is similar to what is being done with the Morro Creek bank: rather than do a simple solution, a larger and more expensive solution is proposed.

Re: Item 6.g City Council Agenda for the Council Meeting on January 13, 2026 Approve Tognazzini’s Dockside & Dockside Too Lease Agreement Madam Mayor and Members of the City Council,
The Embarcadero Master Leaseholders, LLC respectfully requests the Council to pull the referenced item off of the Agenda for the January 13th Council Meeting.
Our organization believes that there are significant issues with the approval of the referenced lease that we would like to be able to review and comment on before the City enters into a thirty year lease on those premises. This item has been negotiated in private between city staff and in closed council sessions and the related documents have only just been published and released to the public on January 9th . There has not been adequate time for interested parties to review the documentation.
While the City’s lease policy and state law allow those negotiations to be conducted in private, the result of those negotiations are a matter of public interest and concern, particularly to other competing leaseholders. Rushing the approval of the result of those negotiations within only two business days of notice to the public doesn’t allow proper scrutiny and review by the public and other interested parties.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Paul Van Beurden, President
Giovanni De Garimore, Vice President
