TITLE: Appoint Advisory Body Members
RECOMMENDATION
1. Appoint Marina Keith and David Lin to the Downtown Committee (Downtown Property and/or Representative of a Business) to unexpired terms ending December 31, 2022.
2. Appoint Jill Rakestraw to the Human Relations Commission to an unexpired term ending December 31, 2024.
3. Appoint John McAlister to the Performing Arts Committee to an unexpired term ending December 31, 2024.
4. Appoint Li-Leng Au to the Performing Arts Committee to an unexpired term ending December 31, 2022.
5. Appoint Ishendra Sinha and Elna Tymes to the Senior Advisory Committee to unexpired terms ending December 31, 2025.
BACKGROUND
On April 25, 2022, the Council Appointments Review Committee interviewed seven applicants for openings on the Downtown Committee, Human Relations Commission, Performing Arts Committee, and Senior Advisory Committee. The Council Appointments Review Committee made the recommendations for appointments, as listed above, to the City Council. The Council Appointments Review Committee requests the City Council’s support for these recommendations.
