5. BUSINESS ITEMS
5.1 Update and Discussion of the Race, Equity and Inclusion Action Plan
Principal Management Analyst Gaines, Assistant City Manager/Chief Operating Officer Ramberg, and Deputy Police Chief Hsiung provided the update. Deputy Police Chief Hsiung introduced Alex Stephenson, who is working with the City as a Research Fellow in the Police Department.

M/S - Ramirez/ Abe-Koga - Recommend that the City Council form a Public Safety Advisory Board as described in Item 5.1b. in the memorandum.

6. COMMITTEE/STAFF COMMENTS, QUESTIONS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS Member Ramirez requested clarification on future REI Subcommittee meetings. City Manager McCarthy reported that future REI Subcommittee meetings will be scheduled as needed.
7. ADJOURNMENT
Chair Kamei adjourned the meeting at 7:05 pm
