A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOUNTAIN VIEW AUTHORIZING TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PARKING LOT 12
FROM 7:30 A.M. THROUGH 2:30 P.M. DURING SUNDAY 49ERS HOME GAMES AT LEVI’S STADIUM IN SANTA CLARA FOR FISCAL YEARS 2022-23 AND 2023-24 FOR USE BY THE CALIFORNIA FARMERS’ MARKET ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the California Farmers’ Market Association is a growers’ organization proposing to operate a certified farmers’ market in accordance with the California Department of Agriculture regulations in downtown Mountain View; and
WHEREAS, the California Farmers’ Market Association is willing to provide all necessar y services to operate the market, including setup, cleanup, promotion of the temporary move, coordination with the surrounding neighborhood regarding concerns and complaints, etc., and is able to meet City requirements for insurance, liability, etc; and
WHEREAS, Parking Lot 12, in the block bounded by Bryant Street, Mercy Street, California Street, and Franklin Street, is a suitable temporary location for Fiscal Years 2022-23 and 2023-24; and
WHEREAS, Sunday 49ers home games at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara will result in the temporary relocation of the farmers’ market on event days, including, but not limited to , the following dates for Fiscal Year 2022-23:
• September 18, 2022
• October 23, 2022
• November 13, 2022
• November 27, 2022
• December 4, 2022
• December 11, 2022
• January 8, 2023
The Sunday 49ers home games for Fiscal Year 2023-24 are not yet scheduled;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mountain View that, pursuant to Mountain View City Code Section 19.92, Parking Lot 12 is hereby temporarily closed from 7:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. during Sunday 49ers home games for Fiscal Years 2022-23 and 2023-24, as set forth in the recitals above and as may be amended and/or schedul ed, to enable -2-
the California Farmers’ Market Association’s use of Parking Lot 12 during Sunday 49ers home games.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that staff is hereby directed to post appropriate signage to notice the temporary closure of Parking Lo t 12 and provide notification of the closure dates for Fiscal Years 2022-23 and 2023-24, once scheduled, on the City website.
