POTENTIAL TIMELINE FOR APPOINTMENT
January 5, 2023 Special Meeting The City Council selects appointment option, determines interview and selection procedure, and provides direction on advertisement.
January 9 to 13, 2023 Advertisement period, which could include:
• Posting a notice on CPA electronic board.
• Posting a notice on City bulletin boards.
• Social media posting.
• Display advertisement in paper.
• Other method(s) as directed by the City Council.
January 18, 2023 Applications due to the City by 5:00 p.m.
January 24, 2023 Regular Meeting Finalize interview questions of applicants. (if needed)
January 26, 2023 Special Meeting The City Council interviews applicants. The City Council selects and appoints a person to fill the vacant Council seat. The City Council adopts a resolution declaring result.
February 14, 2023 Regular Meeting Newly appointed person is sworn in.
