WHEREAS, Section 04of the Mountain View City Charter authorizes the City Council to fill WHEREAS, Sally Lieber resigned her seat on the City Council effective December 30, 2022; Me
WHEREAS, the City Council determined at its January 5, 2023 Special Meeting to fill the vacancy on the City Council created by the resignation of Sally Lieber by appointment; and WHEREAS, the City Council determined at its January 24, 2023 Regular Meeting to interview five of 10 applicants for the vacancy; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the January 24, 2023 Regular Meeting, Michael Kasperzak one of the five applicants selected for interview, withdrew his application from consideration; and WHEREAS, the City Council interviewed at its January 30, 2023 Special Meeting: Emily Ann Ramos, Ronit Bryant, John McAlister, and Chris Clark; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED: that the City Council of the City of Mountain View hereby appoints Emily Ann Ramos as member of the City Council to serve until a successor qualifies following the NOvernber5, 2024Gencra| Municipal Election.
