To the Members of the Mountain View City Council,
We are proud to live in Mountain View, a city whose voters created the CSFRA with the primary purpose of stabilizing rents so that a diversity of people can share the benefits of living in a city that values all its citizens.
Landlords and property owners have a clear advantage over renters when pricing rents in a market with short supply.
As you appoint virtually the entire committee next Tuesday, it is crucial that
you
appoint persons who will be fair to landlords, but fully committed to protecting the interests of renters.
In
particular we support Edie Keating, Kevin Ma, and Alex Brown because of their experience and commitment to solving the problems of housing in Mountain View. Your decisions will impact many people’s ability to continue to live and work in our community.
