TITLE: Adopt a Resolution Approving an
Appropriation Amendment to Increase
Expenditures for the Purchase of One
Fast-Response/Ambulance Vehicle

RECOMMENDATION

Adopt a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Mountain View Approving an Appropriation Amendment to the Fiscal Year 2022-23 General Non-Operating Fund to Increase Expenditures by $38,000 for the Purchase of One Fast-Response/Ambulance Vehicle , to be read i n title only, further reading waived (Attachment 1 to the Council report).

BACKGROUND

The City Council approved an appropriation for the purchase of one fast-response/ambulance vehicle with the adoption of the Fiscal Year 2021 -22 Budget . In April 2022, t he City issued a purchase order to a vendor to procure and build the vehicle at a cost of $293,588. In January 2023, the vendor communicated that it is unable to fulfill the order at this time. As such, the purchase order has been canceled, and a new vendor has been secured.

ANALYSIS

The total cost to procure and to build the fast-response/ambulance vehicle with the new vendor is $331,101. An additional appropriation of $38,000 is needed to purchase the vehicle and enable timely delivery. The resolution (Attachment 1) formally requests the appropriation amendment to the Fiscal Year 2022-23 General Non-Operating Fund to increase expenditures by $38,000 for the purchase of one fast-response/ambulance vehicle.

FISCAL IMPACT

There is sufficient funding available in the General Non-Operating Fund to increase budget appropriations by $38,000.
