RECOMMENDATION
1. Find that in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act requirements, Concrete Sidewalk and Curb Repairs, Project 22 -02, is categorically exempt as Class 1, Section 15301, Existing Facilities, of the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines.

BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS
The annual sidewalk replacement program replaces damaged, uplifted, and deteriorated (end-of-life) sidewalks, curb, and gutter when less costly measures, such as ramping or grinding, are not effective. Repair locations are chosen and prioritized based on staff’s field review of sidewalk locations, Ask Mountain View submittals, and other resident requests.
Concrete Sidewalk and Curb Repairs, Project 22 -02, will remove and replace approximately 10,400 square feet of concrete sidewalk, 5 00 square feet of driveway, and 1,800 linear feet of curb and/or gutter in various locations (see Figure 1).
