A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOUNTAIN VIEW
AMENDING THE SENIOR CENTER HOT WATER SYSTEMS AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION ABOUT
BUILDING ELECTRIFICATION GRANT AGREEMENTS WITH SILICON VALLEY CLEAN ENERGY TO EXTEND PROJECT COMPLETION DATES TO DECEMBER 31, 2025 AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE MINISTERIAL OR
ADMINISTRATIVE AMENDMENTS TO THE AGREEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council accepted and appropriated a $497,000 grant from Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) to electrify the Senior Center hot water systems and stoves on May 23, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the City Council accepted and appropriated a $ 70,000 grant from SVCE to engage and educate residents and community groups about building electrification on May 23, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the grant agreements stipulate that the projects must be completed by December 31, 2024; and
WHEREAS, extending the project completion dates require an amendment to the SVCE grant agreements; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED: that the City Council of the City of Mountain View amends these SVCE grant agreements to extend the project completion dates to December 31, 2025; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED: that the City Council authorizes the City Manager or designee to execute any further ministerial or administrative amendments to the agreements in order to fully effectuate their purposes, including but not limited to amendments to extend the term of either grant agreement.
