PURPOSE:
To establishapolicyof compliancewith City CharterSection701by providingfor the appointmentof aCityAuditor.
POLICY:
1. Following appointmentto the City Auditor position by the City Council, the appointedCity Auditor shallserveuntil removedbyaffirmative fivemembersof theCityCouncil.
2. Theappointmentshallbeof anamedindividualratherthanbypo
3. In theeventtheCity Auditor alsois a paidCity employeeandis dischargedfrom thatpaidCity position, theCity Auditor shallnonethelesscont statusuntil terminatedasCity Auditor by theCity Councilor h compensationismodifiedbytheCityCouncil.
4. TheCityAuditorshallberequiredto attendanannualmeetingo to presentanannualreport.
