Decarbonization Strategy
As part of the decarbonization strategy, I
would like it to include a plan for ending the
flow of natural gas.

Elevating to ensure that this is being done
with the 1-for-1 replacement requirements
in mind. These two projects, if done right,
can ensure project feasibility while
protecting residents from displacement.

Throughout the city, many residents take
part in volunteer activities to improve the
quality of life of our communities.

However, their impact may be limited by
availability of staff resources. There is a
need for clear guidelines or a structured
framework to improve access, coordination
& guidance.

Set end-of-flow for Natural Gas goal at 2045
Methane or natural gas is a powerful
greenhouse gas that is 85 times more
potent than CO2. It also is a source of
interior air pollution that worsens asthma.

Lets set a date to end the flow to MV by
2045. Then lets keep working to get there.

Remove Barriers to Condominium Development in Mountain View Condos are an entry point to home
ownership yet very few of them are built in
MV. Identify barriers such as park fees,
allowing early set-up of a sales office,
provision of in lieu fees for affordable
housing, and other factors. Follows from
project 32 of last Council workplan.

Implement Interim Pickleball Plan
Work with pickleball and tennis community
to share existing courts by such things as
clarify hours of pickleball use, painting a
few tennis courts with pickleball lines and
encouraging use of temporary nets.

Continue work on longer-term plan. We all
need 30 min/day of heart healthy exercise.
