The proposed R3 zoning means that 5 story
buildings (when including bonuses) will be
built next to my R-1 home and block the sun,

Why didn't the Council try to block approval of the 7 story apartment project for 294-296 Tyrella?
Council could have postponed the decision to approve and then investigate/ litigate some reasons to block this project. Some reasons to block the project are:
1 - Threat to public safety due to increased traffic (Tyrella/Middlefield accidents.) 2 - Threat to public safety due to increased street parking (narrow neighborhood streets with cars parked on both sides.)
3 - Vague undefined concept of a project declared not feasible by the developer if too many restrictions by City.
4 - Violation of affordable unit allocation - all 18 are studio apartments. 5 - Intentional delay by State in approving the MV housing plan in order to keep BR submission window open longer.
6 - Tactics used by outside YIMBY groups to delay approval of the MV housing plan.
7 - The devastating loss in surrounding home values this will cause. 8 - The complete blocking of sunlight to neighboring residences. 9 - The profound physical and mental trauma for all living next to this blunt intru- sion of a building.
10 - No geologic survey done even though in an earthquake liquification zone.

Why does our neighborhood not have any fiber
internet choice available? We are located in
the center of multiple tech company hubs, yet
the area is an internet desert.
Why has Sonic.com not been given permission
to invest in their fiber infrastructure by using
city light polls?
I have been a Sonic DSL customer for years.
Their reliability and customer service is leagues
above Comcast, AT&T and T-Mobile.
