Hello,
I write to express support for item 6.1 on the upcoming City Council agenda, and the recommendation to terminate the existing automated license plate reader contract with Flock Safety.
Not only has Flock Safety repeatedly demonstrated inattention and non-compliance to laws and to its own security requirements and promises, it is harmful to our community to create a culture of constant surveillance. Flock Safety has repeatedly demonstrated that it cannot be trusted, and we should not attempt again to trust that they'll adhere to the law and their own policies.
