Dear City Council,
I use Fairmont Ave frequently when biking to get off of Castro ASAP when heading home, and I know many Graham students do as well. Castro currently does not have adequate bicycle infrastructure between El Camino Real and Yosemite Ave (which is the next opportunity to turn off of Castro when you are coming from El Camino Real).
I know that there are some plans for bike improvements for that section, and I wonder if it would be possible for Fairmont Ave to be kept usable for bikes (so presumably not vacated?), until those plans are locked in and a completion schedule is known for bike lanes and/or traffic calming that would allow for safe biking on Castro St for that segment.
