MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING— THURSDAY, APRIL 30, 2026
PLAZA CONFERENCE AND VIDEO CONFERENCE ROOM- 500 CASTRO STREET 7:30 P.M.
1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Showalter called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: Committee members Chris Clark, Alison Hicks, and Chair Pat Showalter.
Absent: None.
3. MINUTES APPROVAL
Motion—M/S Clark/Hicks—Carried 3-0—To approve the minutes of the December 1, 2025, meeting.

5. NEW BUSINESS
5.1 Five-Year Decarbonization Plan and Approach
Council Sustainability Committee Minutes
April 30, 2026
Chief Sustainability and Resiliency Officer Danielle Lee and Sustainability Manager Rebecca Lucky presented the Five-Year Decarbonization Plan and Approach. They responded to the committee’s questions.
The following members of the public spoke:

- Mary Dateo
- Anne Infeld
- Bruce Naegel (virtual)
The committee reviewed and supported the staff’s recommended approach of developing a five-year decarbonization plan and the draft actions identified for inclusion in the five - year decarbonization plan. The committee also supported the draft May 2026 Council Study Session questions.

7. ADJOURNMENT
Chair Showalter adjourned the meeting at 9:27 p.m.
