SUBJECT: 2026 Council Transportation Committee Revised Meeting Schedule
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the 2026 Council Transportation Committee revised meeting schedule.
BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS
Historically, Council Transportation Committee (CTC) meetings have been scheduled on an as-needed basis. Looking ahead to the remaining potential agenda items in 202 6, several significant transportation items are planned to come to the CTC . To balance the agendas, it appears one more meeting of the CTC will be needed after the summer recess in early fall, and the scheduled October 6, 2026 meeting will be moved to November.
Staff reviewed the 202 6 Council meeting dates and other key events to avoid conflicts and proposes the following revised 2026 CTC meeting schedule after the summer recess:
• Monday, August 31, 6:00 p.m.
• Monday, November 9, 6:00 p.m.
Committee members attending conferences that overlap with a CTC m eeting may avail themselves of the provisions of Government Code Section 54953 to attend the meeting using the “just cause” provision as long as the Committee m ember participates through both audio and visual technology and publicly discloses at the meeting before any action is taken whether any other individuals 18 years of age or older are present in the room at the remote location and the general nature of the member’s relationship with any such individuals. Use of this provision is limited to two CTC meetings per calendar year.
Once approved, the meeting dates will be published online at mountainview.legistar.com.
