Street Closure for Oktoberfest Festival
Dear Friends and Neighbors:
The Mountain View Chamber of Commerce is proud to promote our local community by hosting the 11th Annual Mountain View OktoberFest. This family friendly event will take place on Saturday, October 10th and Sunday, October 11th, 2026. Due to the size and nature of the event, and to better serve attendees and local businesses, the Chamber is recommending Council approve closure of Castro Street between Mercy and Yosemite Street from 2:30 am Saturday, October 10th until l 0:00pm Sunday, October 11th. The proposed event times are from 11 am until 7pm.
The Council will be considering the staff recommendation as part of the Consent Calendar on June 23, 2026 in City Hall Council Chambers, 500 Castro Street. Meeting times are subject to change, please confirm the scheduled start time on the City's website at www.mountainview.gov prior to the meeting date. You are welcome to share your thoughts with the Council on this issue should you desire.
