A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOUNTAIN VIEW ADOPTING THE
REVISED AMBULANCE BILLING AND USER FEES TO BE USED BY THE MOUNTAIN VIEW FIRE
DEPARTMENT FOR ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT EMERGENCY AMBULANCE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES TO BE REFLECTED IN THE CITY’S MASTER FEE SCHEDULE AS “ACTUAL COSTS (AS ESTABLISHED BY SANTA CLARA COUNTY)”
WHEREAS, the Mountain View Fire Department provides Advanced Life Support (ALS) Emergency Ambulance Transportation Services pursuant to a contract with the County of Santa Clara; and
WHEREAS, the agreement between the City of Mountain View and the County of Santa Clara requires the City to bill patients for ambulance transport based on ambulance and billing user fees and rates established by the County,
WHEREAS, on April 8, 2025, City Council adopted ambulance billing and user fees in accordance with the Emergency Medical Services Agreement between Rural/Metro of California, Inc., and County of Santa Clara; and
WHEREAS, the proposed ambulance billing and user fees in Table 1 and Table 2 of Exhibit A reflect updated user fees and billing rates in accordance with the current Emergency Medical Services Agreement between Rural/Metro of California, Inc., and County of Santa Clara, Exhibit M, Tables 1 and 2 as revised on July 1, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the proposed ambulance billing and user fees include a price list of user fees per service level, along with fees for any Equipment/Supplies used and/or medications administered; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED: that the City Council of the City of Mountain View hereby approves and adopts the Revised Ambulance Billing and User Fees; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED: that this Resolution shall be effective upon the date of its adoption. – – – – – – – – – – –
