(All matters listed on the Consent Calendar are to be considered routine by the governing bodies, and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed. There will be no discussion of these items unless, before the governing body votes on the motion to adopt, specific items are removed from the Consent Calendar for separate motions.)
1. Authorizing Virtual City Council Meetings A.B. 361 (CC) Recommended Action: Adopt a resolution finding that the proclaimed state of emergency continues to impact the ability to meet safely in person and declaring the City Council, City Commissions, and other subsidiary bodies of the City Council that are subject to the Brown Act can meet remotely to ensure the health and safety of the public.
2. Waive Reading of All Ordinance Adoptions on the Agenda and Read by Title Only (CC) Recommended Action: Waive reading, by title only, of all Ordinances and Resolutions.
Said Ordinances and Resolutions which appear on the public agenda shall be determined to have been read by title and further reading waived.
3. Minutes (CC)
Recommended Action: Approve the Minutes of the November 8, 2021 Special City Council Meeting and November 16, 2021 Regular City Council Meeting as presented.
4. Check Register December 2021 (CC)
Recommended Action: Adopt a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MURRIETA, CALIFORNIA, RATIFYING THE CHECK REGISTER FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER 2021.

Recommended Action: Adopt a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MURRIETA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE 2022 LEGISLATIVE PLATFORM.

8. City Council Subcommittees and City Affiliated Agencies Committees/Boards Appointments (CC)
Recommended Action:
1. Review, reaffirm and/or redefine the purposes of current City Council Subcommittees; if any City Council Subcommittees are redefined, direct the City Clerk to return to the City Council with the appropriate amendments for ratification;
2. Establish the City Attorney Selection Ad Hoc Subcommittee by minute order;
3. Review current City Affiliated Organizations;
4 Discuss and appoint delegates/representatives and alternates to the City Council Subcommittees and City Affiliated Organizations; and
5. Reappoint and appoint members of the City Council to the Library Board, in accordance with Murrieta Municipal Code (MMC) 2.38, to coincide within their elected terms but not to exceed three years.
