The City of Murrieta Intends to Comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). DISCUSSION
1. November 8, 2022, General Municipal Election - District 1 Council Member Stone recused herself from the item, due to a potential conflict.
Council Member Stone is a vendor of the Candidate’s campaign and has a personal financial interest in the outcome. Council Member Stone left the dais before the item was heard.

Action: After City council discussion, it was moved by Council Member White, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Deforest to:
1. Adopt Resolution 22-4608, A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Murrieta, Providing for the Appointment to the City of Murrieta City Council, District 1 Office, that was to be Elected at the November 8, 2022, General Municipal Election and Cancel said Election for the City Council, District 1 Office;
2. Direct the City Clerk not to accept for filing any statement of a write-in candidate for the City Council, District 1 Office; which is submitted after the appointment is made; and
3. Direct the City Clerk to fulfill any administrative requirements in accordance with the law.
The motion carried by the following vote:
