APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Action: It was moved by Commissioner Fisher seconded by Commissioner LaPaglia with the abstention of Commissioner Wojcik to Approve the Minutes of June 12, 2024 Regular Planning Commission Meeting as presented.

PUBLIC HEARING
6th Code Updates (MCA-2023-00003) to the City’s Development Code for the Purpose of revising and updating Chapters 16.18, 16.22, 16.30, 16.34, 16.38, 16.42, 16.44, 16.52, 16.56, 16.60, 16.68, 16.90, and 16.110 (“Development Code Amendment”).
Senior Planner Chris Tracy presented the Staff report and PowerPoint presentation.
Deputy Development Services Director Jarrett Ramaiya was available for questions.
The Planning Commission had questions of staff, whom provided responses to the satisfaction of the Commission.
Action: It was moved by Commissioner Wojcik seconded by Commissioner LaPaglia to approve a Resolution of the Planning Commission of the City of Murrieta, recommending that the City Council authorize the tiling of the Environmental Determination and approve Development Code Amendment (MCA-2023-00003) for the purpose of revising and updating chapters 16.18, 16.22, 16.30, 16.34, 16.38, 16.42, 16.44, 16.52, 16.56, 16.60, 16.68, 16.70, 16.72, 16.73, 16.78, 16.90, And 16.110 (“Development Code Amendment”) ***removing the slaughtering and rendering in section 16.44, the sign update section in 16.38 (while still being considered), and section 16.3130 DA construction noise to change the word weekday to daily to match the section.

WORKSHOP
Workshop – Planning Commission Training and Workshop on Commission Functions, The Public Process, Public Record Act request.
The Staff report and PowerPoint presentation by City Planner, Carl Stiehl and City Attorney, Paul Early.
The Planning Commission and Staff had a discussion.
Vice Chair Vrooman concluded the Workshop.
CITY PLANNER COMMENTS
City Planner Carl Stiehl announced the Triangle Project will formally come back before the Commission next month to review and recommend to the City Council.

PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS
Commissioner LaPaglia thanked the applicant and staff for all the hard work on the project.
